NASDAQ Dubai (formerly called the Dubai International Financial Exchange, or DIFX), is a stock exchange opened on September 26, 2005, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Listed products and market status

Products listed on the DIFX include ordinary shares listed by DP World along with other Damas and DEPA. DP World is the largest IPOs in the Middle East and raised $ 4.96 billion.[1] It was 15x oversubscribed and is one of the most valued companies in the Middle East Region.[2]

Activities

The trading hours of NASDAQ Dubai are from 10:00am to 2:00 pm (06:00 am to 10:00 am GMT) from Sunday to Thursday. NASDAQ Dubai is one of the very few Multi-asset exchange in Middleeast. Products range include equities, GDRs, Structured products ETFs, Index and equity Futures, Islamic debts (Sukuks), etc.

The Dubai International Financial Centre

NASDAQ Dubai is located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), a financial free zone which opened for business in 2004. Financial activities in the DIFC are governed to international standards by an independent regulator, the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). NASDAQ Dubai has a license from the DFSA to operate an exchange. The President of the DIFC is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
